A weekend ill never forget... Thank you to Bruneian Royal Family!

I just returned from England where I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with the Royal Family of Brunei! HRH Prince Azim and lovely brothers and sisters invited me to their joint birthday celebration. It was truly the most UNBELIEVABLE experience ever. I was expecting it to be quite an uptight event complete with too much security and not much personal interaction. But I couldn't have been more wrong! The entire family and all the guests were SO warm, kind, inviting, and genuinely having a good time. There was no ego, no pretentiousness whatsoever. We danced, ate, watched an incredible live performance from Chaka Khan and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning just living it up. I got to share the weekend with my best friend NeNe and we tried to make the most of each moment. We met some new wonderful people and also saw some old favorites!!! Im posting a new photo album that chronicles the weekend. Enjoy...



My utmost gratitude goes out to the Royal Family for inviting me and being so gracious to me and  my guests. Happy birthday to all four of you who's birthdays are coming up!!!!!!!!!

I woke up in London today to quite a suprise- a song that i recorded "25 to Life" has been leaked!!!!!!!! i am definetly not the culprit behind this and it is a bit frustrating that material is coming out that is NOT inteneded to be a first single or even a representation of the album. i LOOVE this record however. Marsha Ambrosious (formerly from Floetry) wrote and recorded the song first but then was kind enough to let me take a stab at it for my album :). This is one of the ONLY records that i did not write or co-write. im happy that you guys are responding postively to the new music, yet just a bit annoyed that its not official. like i said- once theres a first single- u will know!!!!!!!!

JoJo's Myspace Blog - Rumors about first Single

Hello again...
Just wanted to clear about a rumor I heard floating around that we have already chosen my first single. This is NOT TRUE. Since I am not finished recording my album, we have not decided on a single yet. Song titles that I have seen on a couple of fansites that are supposedly my album's tracklisting are not correct. Those song titles are from songs recorded years ago, or songs that may or may not make the final cut, or songs that I have written with another artist in mind. When we choose a first single you will be the first to know! I can't wait to get your opinion on the new official material. I think you're gonna realllly like it :)

JoJo Myspace Blog - It's a NEW YEAR! Thank Goodness...

Happy New Year to all!!
I feel like it's been such a long time since I've written a blog, so I wanted to make a point to write a little something...
I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe NYE! I went to LA to celebrate with some of my closest friends. As much as I love Boston, I just wanted to get out of the cold and snow for a little while :)
I am still hard at work on my new album. It feels like a never ending process and to be honest, it frustrates me to not be on the road, not promoting, and not interacting with people in the way that i love to so much, but I am so confident that the finished product will be worth the wait. I am so pleased to be intrinsically involved in each song on this record thus far. It truly feels like a snapshot of my life and is very true to where I am as a young lady. A few weeks ago I spent about a week in the studio with Chad Hugo, Jim Beanz, and Kenna. It was SO much fun and I can't wait for you to hear what we cooked up ;) They are really incredible and it was such a pleasure to create with them.

I am still finishing my senior year in high school and am looking forward to graduating within the next few months. (Btw, I just turned 18 a couple of weeks ago! Yay! lol)
Like I mentioned earlier, waiting and anticipating this album is frustrating, but I am more ready than ever to make this year my best yet in every capacity. There have been alot of changes being made at my record label and things that are out of my control that have set back this process a bit, but I am hopeful that they will come together soon. With each new song I record, I'm happy that we are taking our time and allowing this album to become everything that we all want it to be. I am so thrilled about the direction it's headed! I'm enjoying the ride and the experiences along this long journey, but I can't wait to get back in action this year. Thanks for sticking by me, and I look forward to seeing you all soon. :)
